Most cruise ships use rudders to adjust the direction to go and sustain in the water. 

The tongues of human beings are like rudders. 

Whatever you speak with your tongue sets the direction of where you go in life.

Your heart, soul, and mind follow what you speak.

Your love for God connects you to the source of life and God-given desires.

 How do you set your heart, mind, and soul in the direction of loving God?

Loving God is like being disciplined to drink water, eat vegetables, and exercise. 

We know we should do it, but we battle with self-control to do it consistently.  

Loving God takes discipline, spiritual growth, and consistency.

Speaking your love for God sustains your heart, soul, and mind to love God with discipline, spiritual growth, and consistency.

Your heart produces what you speak.

Proverbs 10:11 (NLT) states, "The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions."

When you say, "I love God with all my heart, soul, and mind.", your heart, soul, and mind will direct and sustain you in God's love.

Speaking your love for God is a discipline to speak daily through meditation.
