God sent you on the earth with a talent. You may have a fear of using your talent. You may be too tired to entertain your talent. You may not know your talent. Your talent helps you fulfill your purpose in life, being ten times better.
Before we go any further, I want to get rid of a myth. The myth that talent is only a discussion for youth. Talent is human nature that expands or changes as you evolve.
Oprah Winfrey made a recommendation on how to move forward during the pandemic. She advised everyone to showcase their talent and skills as an offering of service to the world. Her suggestion is God sent.
God saw good when he made you. Genesis 1:31 (NIV) says, "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good..."
Let’s look at the following definitions of good from Webster's Dictionary 1828 Edition:
Complete or sufficiently perfect in its kind
Having the physical qualities best for its design
Having moral qualities for its design
Suitable to produce
Well qualified
Your talent is one way God establishes your purpose in life.
What is your talent?
Whatever your talent may be, it is a natural skill that comes with spiritual intelligence. Intelligence is to understand. God gives you the understanding to use your talent in your heart. Exodus 35:31 (NIV) “and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—"
God gives you an understanding of how to use your talent with new thoughts, concepts, and inventions on how to solve problems. It makes your talent ten times better.
Daniel, a prophet, had the talent to interpret vision and dreams. God gave Daniel an understanding (intelligence). Because of his talent, Daniel was to serve Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. Daniel and the group elected to serve the king were trained three years before their service.
The king found Daniel and three other men ten times better than everyone. Daniel 1:20 (NIV) says, In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.” Daniel made God his source on how to use his talent.
You make your talent ten times better when God influences your heart. God prepares your heart to use it the way he made you. Psalm 10:17 (KJV) says, Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:"
God prepares your heart through inward thinking. You gain an understanding of your talent when your thoughts are God’s thoughts. The reason God wants to prepare your heart is to release the anointing to do good in your service.
Who are the people you serve?
The anointing gives you the ability to serve them with God’s power. Act 10:38 (NIV) says, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”
The anointing has no boundaries. It’s available for you to serve in education, government, arts & entertainment, business, and media. You are the voice and hand of God with your talent under the anointing.
Here is the starting point for making your talent ten times better:
Ask God to give you an understanding of your talent: You open your heart to God when you ask him to be the source of your intelligence. Your spiritual awareness increase to learn from God. If you don’t know your talent, ask God? He will reveal it to you.
Meditate the scripture references in this blog. You will get more insight into how your talent comes with understanding and the anointing of being ten times better.
