Trusting God With Your Heart And Mind

God cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

God is committed to caring for you. 

 We block God from caring for us when we try to control our lives. 

How do you let God care for you?

Trust in God allows God to care for you. 

Trusting God is having confidence in who God is. It includes resting your mind on the truth of who God is to you. 

Trusting God is committing to allow God full access to your heart. 

Psalm 62:8 (KJV) says, “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” 

Trust involves you letting go of dead issues that caused your heart pain or distress. 

God becomes your refuge when you let go of what concerns you.  

A refuge is a place of protection. 

You exchange your life issues for God’s protection when you trust him.

God instructs your mind when your mind when you trust him. 

The following are ways to identify if you are trusting God to instruct your mind:

• You allow God to instruct you on how to live your life (Psalms 32:8)

• You receive God’s word as your truth (John 17:17)

• You allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth (John 16:13)

• You allow God’s word in your mind through meditation (Joshua 1:8)

• You put God’s knowledge into action in your daily living while discovering and experiencing the desires in your heart (James 1:22)

Psalm 143:10 is one scripture to meditate on God's instruction for you.

Psalm 143:10 (NIV) says, "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."

May God strengthen your mind with his instructions as you trust him.
